Sony is offering another chance for procrastinating gamers to lose sleep.

The company's Sony Style store in New York will stay open past midnight Wednesday to sell the already- scarce new PlayStation Portable handheld entertainment gadget.

Doors open at 9 p.m. at the store at 550 Madison Ave., and PSPs will be sold--one per customer--beginning at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Sony says it will have 500 "Value Packs" available, so be prepared to line up early.

Sony is also keeping its PlayStation store in San Francisco open past midnight to sell PSPs, which will be delivered to the store personally by Jack Tretton, executive vice president for Sony Computer Entertainment America.
