More pros from NEC
Also, look for a review of at least one of the two new pro monitors NEC announced on Monday, the MultiSync LCD2490WUXi² and LCD2490W2-BK-SV.
As I've said, CNET (or in this this case, me) doesn't review enough professional-grade/intended for graphics artists and photographers, monitors. I'm hoping to change that soon.
Over the next few months be prepared for reviews of theand . Also, look for a review of at least one of the two new pro monitors NEC announced on Monday, the MultiSync LCD2490WUXi² and LCD2490W2-BK-SV.
Each monitor includes NEC's SpectraViewII Color Calibration Solution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1,920x1,200 native resolution, and an IPS panel.
The displays also include a color gamut that has 96.7 percent coverage of sRGB, an auto brightness feature called X-Light Pro, and an ambient light sensor. Also, ColorComp technology, which purportedly "compensates for slight variations in luminance and color uniformity, providing even color across the screen."
Both NECs supports internal programmable 12-bit lookup tables (LUTs) for calibration and a four-way ergonomic stand with 150mm height-adjust, tilt, swivel, and pivot. Rounding things out are 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 320 cd/m² brightness.
As I'm not either a graphics artist/photographer professional nor amateur I'll see what I can do about getting these reviewed by someone who is. Stay tuned.
