Although it doesn't seem like that long since Samsung's Galaxy S4 was released, the rumours about the S5 are already hitting overdrive.

We've already heard about the metal unibody design, the 16-megapixel camera and the 3GB of RAM. Now, specs for a mysterious new Samsung phone have shown up in benchmark results over at GFXBench, and the tip is that it's the S5.

If this proves true, then we're looking at a very beefy handset. The benchmarks show a phone with Android 4.4 KitKat on what seems to be Snapdragon 800 running at 2.5GHz. More impressive is the 1440p display — that's a 2560x1440-pixel resolution, which is also sometimes called 2K HD.

This does seem in line with some of the other rumours floating around, including a 5-inch screen with 560ppi and a 4000mAh battery.

Of course, we've seen rumours like this turn out to be false many times before. Luckily, we may not have that long to wait — the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be just two or three months away... assuming you believe those rumours, of course.
