Monster story: squid vid

The Japanese are BIG on big creatures. But this is not an ordinary Godzilla. This time Reuters reports Japanese scientists have video of a true monster of the deep.

That's right, the same folks who brought you the first still pictures fourteen months ago, have now topped that. It's the first known video of a giant squid. This little tyke was only a few meters long but his grand-parents hang out in the ocean depths waving tentacles up to seventy-five feet in length. And with suckers that could pull the screen off an iPod. What a monster way to end the year!
