If your weekend was anything like mine, you could use a game break right about now. Let's just say I was up till the wee hours last night trying to rescue data from a dying hard drive.

I don't have the luxury of blowing off work today (oh, how I miss college), but I can definitely get some fun queued up for after hours. With that in mind, I've rounded up three rather sweet game-related deals:

  1. Today is Day Six of Amazon's Ten Days of Free Game Downloads, which offers up a free "casual" game every day. (Sorry I didn't bring this to your attention sooner! I just found out about it, courtesy of my good friend Sheldon.) Today's title: Coffee Rush, a java-themed Bejeweled clone. It regularly sells for $6.99. Be sure to check back tomorrow (and every day until Friday) for another freebie!

  2. There's nothing I love more than virtual vehicular mayhem. (Oh, how I miss Interstate '76.) Empire Interactive's FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage is all about racing, jumping, stunts, and, especially, destruction. It's a couple years old, but still a blast. And until May 5, you can score FlatOut for just $4.99 from the Games for Windows Marketplace.

  3. In the market for a new console? (I am, now that my "repaired" Xbox is forever locking up.) Amazon is offering a $50 promotional credit when you buy a PlayStation 3 for $299.84 or an Xbox 360 (starting at $199.99). The latter also includes a free 1,600 Xbox 360 Live Points Card, a $20 value. (Add it to your cart separately; the discount will be applied once you click through to checkout.) The promotional credit gets applied to your account within two days after your order ships.

The Xbox deal in particular is one of the best I've seen, as the credit is enough to score pretty much any game you want, and the Live points are good for movies, TV shows, game downloads, and the like.

    Have fun!

Bonus deal: Today only, Sellout.woot has one of those supercool HP TouchSmart all-in-one PCs for $529.99, plus $5 for shipping. (It's refurbished with a 90-day warranty.) Specs include a 20-inch touch screen, 750GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and a dual-core AMD Athlon.
