SAN DIEGO--RingCub's Mojopac takes your personal computing profile and puts it on a USB storage device, like a thumb drive or an iPod. The idea is that you plug it into whatever PC you happen to be in front of, and that PC then becomes yours, with your own Windows applications and data. When you unplug your drive, all traces of your use vanish.

This isn't exactly a new idea, and in a world of Web-based applications and data, one might wonder if it's necessary. There are, though, many applications that require local storage and applications -- professional productivity apps and games, for example. When you plug in a Mojopac-equipped USB device, it takes over the host computer (although you can switch back to the host any time, without stopping Mojopac).

This utility is great for people who move between computers, or for doing, say personal work on your employer's infrastructure.
