Microsofties get 'exceptional service' nod from FBI

This is, however, not a joke. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has indeed awarded nine Microsoft employees with certificates for "Exceptional Service in the Public Interest" to recognize the tech giant's role in investigating and apprehending those responsible for the Zotob and Mytob worms, which had victims as prominent as ABC and CNN. Three arrests were made in the Zotob/Mytob investigation; two of those apprehended have been sentenced already.

FBI director Robert Mueller has been vocal in encouraging corporations to assist the government in taking a stand against cybercrime.
