Microsoft stocks up on Ajax--not

Turns out a posting on Friday that Microsoft had hired Java specialist Matt Raible to work "on the Visual Studio Team to integrate Ajax-ish components into .NET" was in fact an elaborate April Fool's joke.

On his blog, Raible said that he planned join Microsoft on April 11 as a developer and evangelist.

Later, Raible let us in on the joke.
