Users have been complaining about the reboots on Microsoft support forums, and it seems that their collective voice has been heard, with Microsoft telling ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley that it is now "investigating reports of these incidents".

Foley said that she has started to experience the issue herself on an HTC Windows Phone 8X review unit. Other than rebooting, Foley said her phone also struggles to sync email properly, and gets "stuck in an endless loop of continually trying to sync".

We've been testing the Nokia Lumia 920 here at CNET Australia, and have had only one incident where the phone rebooted without warning. We haven't experienced freezing or any issues associated with email or syncing.

Curiously, some users are reporting that the Skype app may have something to do with the issue, and that removing it has managed to stop the phone from rebooting.
