Microsoft Office Updater 10.1.2 Combines Updates, Solves Problems

Microsoft has released a new updater for Office v.X that includes all previously released revisions to the Office suite since its 10.0.0 release. A note on Microsoft's Mactopia page reads:

"Microsoft Office v. X 10.1.2 Update is a combined updater that includes all previously released updates for Office v. X. Installing this update on any previously released version of Office v. X will bring Office up to date and corrects problems that some users had installing previous updates."

The included updates are: Office v. X, Service Release 1 which provides new functionality and a host of other enhancements to Office v.X; Office v. X 10.1.1 Update which tackles some security vulenrabilities; Entourage X Hotmail Update which allows users to connect to MSN Hotmail servers; and Network Security Update which provides more secure operation of Office in connected environements.

Microsoft says the update fixes some bugs that were caused by the individual old updaters, which include password problems in Entourage; inability to load shared libraries; and Palm sync difficulties.
