Microsoft Office 2004 11.3.8 released: Fixes security flaw, "stability improvements"

Microsoft has released Office 2004 11.3.8 for Mac OS X, patch for the productivity suite that closes a security hole in Word 2004.

Release notes state that this update fixes a vulnerability in Word 2004 that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code. They also state that the update includes "several improvements to improve security and stability."

The new release is available as a 9.8MB standalone download in various languages, and through the Office AutoUpdate function.
