Weird! New Mac OS icons appear on desktop In this MacFixIt Forums thread, we describe a strange situation where a new set of Mac OS icons suddenly appeared on our desktop. It somehow seems related to a (possibly corrupted) copy of ATM. But beyond that, there is still much mystery. Feel free to post the solution, if you know it. AirPort TIL articles updated Apple has updated TIL article #58604 on DHCP Client ID Support with AirPort and has revised (or at least renamed) article #58613 on how to do a forced reload of the Base Station's firmware. DataViz on AppleWorks fix DataViz confirms what has already been noted by Apple: "AppleWorks 6.0.3 contains a bug which prevent MacLinkPlus translators from converting a file from within the Save As menu in AppleWorks 6. Apple has fixed this issue in AppleWorks 6.0.4. SmartStuff Software comments on security software SmartStuff Software sent us some comments about comparing their FoolProof software to PGP (as covered in our Security Software QuickTopic). We added their comments to the end of this now closed topic.
