MicroNet closes its doors

MicroNet's parent, Ampex, announced in its year 2000 financial report press release that "As of year-end 2000, the Company [Ampex] determined to discontinue the operations of MicroNet Technology, Inc." MicroNet's Web site is already gone, and there is no word on a provision to support existing hardware. MicroNet has been around since the early days of the Mac and most recently manufactured the SANcube and RAID systems. (Thanks, Donald Russell and others.)
