Melissa McCarthy didn't get 'Ghostbusters' reboot trailer
The preview for the new "Ghostbusters" flick didn't win over YouTube, and even has the film's own stars unimpressed.
Who you gonna call when you need to preview a new film? Not whoever cut the first Ghostbusters trailer, apparently.
Released in early March, the short has become one of the most disliked videos on YouTube. Being viewed over 30 million times, it's garnered 710,000-plus thumbs down from viewers.
Melissa McCarthy, who stars in the film across Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, appears to be among those who were unimpressed, criticising the trailer's insinuation that the new film is attached to the original.
"It's a reboot. It's weird that they said the '30 years ago' because in the movie the first ["Ghostbusters"] didn't happen," she said on Johnjay and Rich.
"The trailer said 30 years later, which I didn't get myself...believe me, the question was asked. I was like 'I think that's very confusing,' but then everyone said 'we don't care what you think.'"
