MAXpowr and Adaptec SCSI cards

Bob Moriarty of MacCPU notes that they now have MAXpowr PRO and MAXpowr PRO cards in stock for immediate delivery. I will sadly have to return my evaluation unit in a few weeks. It's been fun using it. It's easy to get used to having almost all the minor delays you put up with on slower machines (such as when opening folders with a lot of files inside them) just about completely disappear.

Bob also adds a troubleshooting note regarding the Adaptec SCSI card: "There is a minor glitch with the card and it may need tweaking for drives to mount. Users should boot from a standard fast SCSI drive rather than a F&W attached to the Adaptec card. The problem is that the PPC 750 CPU cards are too fast for the Adaptec card."
