Mandriva releases new Linux beta: 'Thor'

The first beta version of Mandriva Linux 2007 is now available from the company's Web site, the French Linux seller said Monday.

The new version includes beta 1 of the GNOME 2.16 interface, version 3.5.3 of the KDE interface, version 2.6.17 of the Linux kernel, and a switch to the XDG menu system.
