Macworld Expo news: the iMac cometh; parties

From Apple: The iMac, Apple's "stunning new consumer computer, will be the star attraction at its exhibit during Macworld Expo July 8-10, 1998, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. Apple's Interim CEO Steve Jobs will join Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, live via satellite for Macworld Expo's opening keynote address. The opening keynote will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, in the Special Events Hall."

I will be there and will be posting reports from Macworld here at MacFixIt, as I have done for the past several Expos.

P.S. Speaking of the Expo, the Hess Memorial "party" list contains fewer parties than for any previous Expo that I can recall. What does this mean? Are companies cutting back on parties because they can't afford them anymore? Does it have something to do with the change of location to New York? Whatever it is, I hope it is not the start of a trend! P.S. If you are hosting a party and have not yet sent me an invitation, it is still not too late to do so! :)
