Some users of Apple's Web page publishing software, iWeb, may find that some elements of their pages are not functioning as they expected when published to servers other than MobileMe.

With each new release of Apple's Web page publishing software, iWeb, many features are added to enable users to create more robust and dynamic Web sites. However, not all of these features are available if you are publishing your iWeb site to a non-MobileMe server.

Apple Support Discussions user "BigEd48" writes:

"The, "hit counter" on newly constructed website does not show up after publishing the new site. Yet, on older websites constructed with iWeb "hit counters" show up and work fine. Has Apple somehow discontinued the "hit couter". (The new "hit counter" in iWeb IS located in the webpage area.)"
A quick look through iWeb's help pages will reveal that these features are not available for users not publishing to MobileMe:
    1. Password Protected sites.
    2. Blog and Photo comments.
    3. Blog Search.
    4. Hit Counters.
    5. Enhanced Slideshows.
