Macally iKey USB keyboard linked to "mouse freeze"?

David Snedigar writes: "We ordered 4 new Macally iKey replacement USB keyboards for our G3/BW's. They are great except for one little problem. After you have been working awhile and then take a break, your mouse will freeze if it is plugged into one of the iKey's USB ports. This happens at random and with every mouse we've tried. As it is, we have an XLR8 Point & Scroll mouse, a Kensington wheel mouse, a Macally one button replacement USB mouse, and a stock Apple b/w G3 mouse on 4 different machines - all hooked into iKeys - that all exhibit the problem. The mouse will be frozen on the screen, but the keyboard still operates. [As is the case for many USB peripheral problems,] unplugging and plugging in the mouse fixes the problem. But more often than not, when you take another break, it happens again."
Update: We have already had 4 reader replies on this matter. Three claim to have never seen this problem, while one other confirms it. In any case, it now appears likely that this is not a common problem.
