Macally iKey USB keyboard linked to "mouse freeze": more suggestions

CNET staff
Following up on our previous report of problems with mice connected to the Macally iKey USB keyboard, here are two more suggested solutions:
Joe Dien claims that upgrading to the latest (2.1) version of the Macally USB Manager control panel may help solve some problems with Macally iKey and/or iMouse devices. It did for him. Gareth Russell offered similar advice.

Nian Wang claims: There is an easy way to force the PowerMac to recognize the mouse and load correctly: hold the mouse button down at startup! [We have not confirmed this and would be surprised if this solved all the reported problems, but give it a try.]

Meanwhile, Chris Schmelzer contacted Macally about this matter and received the following reply: "Sorry that you are having a problem with the iKey. Please return it for repair/replacement."
