Mac OS X Disaster Relief announcement

Mac OS X Disaster Relief is the new troubleshooting book written by your MacFixIt Editor, Ted Landau. Its publication date is June 26. It likely won't be on store shelves until the end of July, but mail orders may ship sooner. In any case, you can pre-order it now.

The book is 602 pages long and covers a broad range of troubleshooting topics from installing Mac OS X to problems deleting files to printing failures and networking issues. Of course, it also covers kernel panics, crashes and freezes. And there is a chapter - as well as numerous sidebars throughout the book - on how to use Terminal/Unix for troubleshooting tasks. Along the way, the book offers a deeper understanding of how Mac OS X works, in the same way that Sad Macs provided this understanding for the Classic Mac OS.
