Mac OS X 10.4.8 Special Report: Printing issues -- fixes

2 min read

Several users have reported issues with printers after updating to Mac OS X 10.4.8. Since changes to the printing architecture are made in nearly every incremental release, output devices can suddenly become incompatible or otherwise problematic.

In some cases, this issue can be resolved by re-installing CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) which is available via this download link.

This, and other workarounds for various printer issues are available in our tutorial "Resolving common printer problems."
