Mac OS X 10.4.5 Special Report: Trackpad cursor getting "stuck"
Some users have noticed an issue where the cursor appears to become stuck at a certain position on the screen, generally after a few seconds of inactivity.
In most cases, this issue is a simple result of the "Ignore Accidental Trackpad Input" option in the Keyboard and Mouse pane of System Preferences. Having this setting turned on can sometimes generate the effect of a cursor being "stuck," as the first tidbit of user movement is accidentally ignored.
