Fixes audio pops introduced by Mac OS X 10.4.10.

CNET staff

Apple has released Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update v1.1, which incorporates Audio Update 2007-001 a separately available download. The only change in Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update v1.1 relative to the initial Mac OS X 10.4.10 release is the inclusion of Audio Update 2007-001. If you already applied Mac OS X 10.4.10, you only need to install Audio Update 2007-001. Also, these updates are only for Intel-based Macs.

Per Apple's release notes, this update directly addresses the "popping" noise issue we covered here, here and here. Apple says:

"The Audio Update 2007-001 addresses an issue with version 1.0 of the Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update in which a 'popping' sound might be heard with some external speakers on Intel-based Mac. This update is recommended for all Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.10."
