Mac OS X 10.3.7: Problems with FireWire cameras

CNET staff

Although we've previously covered a good number of reports from readers who have experienced problems with FireWire drives and devices since upgrading to Mac OS X 10.3.7, reader "George" provides the first report of a problem with FireWire cameras:

"I've been reading your articles about problems with FireWire devices, which are experienced by many Mac users. Although most of your readers were referring to troubles with external drives, I'm wondering whether anybody has had any troubles with digital cameras on the firewire port as I have. I have a [Canon EOS 1D Mk.II], which stopped working on the FireWire port [of an Aluminum PowerBook G4 1.25GHz] since the update to OS X 10.3.7. If there is somebody out there who has an answer to my problem, I would greatly appreciate it."
