HP All-in-One compatibility statement Hewlett Packard has offered a statement on Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) compatibility for its All-In-One digital imaging devices. A note on the company's Web site reads:

"Issue: The current all-in-one software drivers for Mac OS X v 10.1 will no longer function on Macintosh systems upgraded to Mac OS v 10.2.Hewlett-Packard is aware of this issue and working on a solution.

"Solution: Do not upgrade to Mac OS X v 10.2 until Hewlett-Packard provides a new or updated driver. Please check back to this Web page for information regarding new driver updates."

OmniWeb DNS problem Scott Maier of the Omni Group's support engineering team, told MacFixIt that under Jaguar, OmniWeb's method for doing DNS lookups no longer works correctly in all cases and users may experience difficulty in connecting to some websites that can easily be contacted in other web browsers:

"We have corrected this issue in the latest pre-release builds of OmniWeb and we'll be releasing a public beta of the forthcoming 4.1.1 update in the near future. This new version also corrects a recently-introduced issue that prevented Flash media from running in OmniWeb when the latest Flash plugin is installed, brings compatibility with the RealOne Player and plugin, and includes some important enhancements to HTTPS/SSL support that prevents the recently publicized IE 'Man-in-the-Middle' attack from being carried out against an OmniWeb user."

FileMaker Developer Tools Piotr Naskrecki reports that FileMaker Pro's Developer Tool no longer works under his Jaguar system configuration:

"After updating my system to 10.2 the FileMaker Developer Tool (v. 5.5.2) no longer works. It consistently quits halfway through the process of generating a standalone solution, regardless of options selected or the number of files being processed."

Pepper The popular text editing tool Pepper is apparently no longer functional under Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), failing with a -600 error. A message from Maarten Hekkelman on the Pepper Web site reads:

"End of story. I'm no longer taking orders for my software. If you're a registered user and need the latest build of my software, please contact me by email at info@hekkelman.com."
