Mac OS X 10.1: CD free at Seybold; Order UK CD

CD free at Seybold Several readers informed us that you can already get a free copy of the Mac OS X 10.1 Upgrade Kit. Apple is giving them away at their Information Booth at Seybold in San Francisco. (Thanks, Mark Costa, Mike Briggs, and others.)

UK CD Michael Kaye notes that you can order an International English version of Mac OS X 10.1 from this page. However this does not include the Developer Tools CD available with the U.S. update.

Update: Simon Marriott adds: "I just called the Apple Store UK and the sales agent told me that the CD will be available free over the counter at any UK Apple Dealer. He also said that no proof of purchase was necessary as this simply updates 10 to 10.1 and 9.1 to 9.21. The sales agent also said that Apple will be offering the Developer Tools CD through the web store and that the page will up 'sometime tomorrow'."
