Mac OS X 10.1.2 Build 5P43 has been seeded to developers. Expect a public release version soon. According to Seeding Notes, it will only install over 10.1.1. The update includes dozens of bug fixes. Here is just a very brief sampler:
  • Tab character for Arial Black and Comic Sans MT no longer prints as box.
  • Norton AntiVirus mysteriously setting immutable bit on files has been fixed.
  • Fixes a Classic crash on startup that could happen if it runs Notification procs in background.
  • Long filenames leave no longer leave shadows on Desktop.
  • Fixes a problem where a document window does not move to front when clicked on.
  • Fixes the problem where contextual menus are incorrect for items in List view of Finder windows.
  • Fixes system hangs when idle or sleep with new ATA PC card extensions.
  • Fixes a problem where CD-RW discs would not mount in Que! FireWire 16x10x40x drives.
