Mac minis get processor boost: Core 2 Duos now included
Core 2 Duos at 1.83 GHz and 2.0 GHz.

Though there was no official press release, Apple today refreshed the Mac mini line, making one key chage: the processors have been upgraded from 1.66 GHz or 1.83 GHz Core Duo to 1.83 or 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors. Apple says the updates make the Mac mini nearly 40% faster on its benchmark scale. The new Mac minis also ship with iLife '08.
Otherwise, specs are unchanged:
- Apple Remote with Front Row
- Up to 2GB memory4
- Intel GMA 950 graphics processor
- DVI connector, VGA adapter
- Slot-loading optical drive
- Up to 160GB hard drive4
- Built-in Gigabit Ethernet
- Analog and digital audio
- Expansion via USB and FireWire
- iLife '08, Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger
