Luke is in every scene of this 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer

There he is! A Luke Skywalker fan edits everyone's favorite Jedi into a trailer from which he was conspicuously absent.

It's a Star Wars mystery that runs just as deep as Han-shot-first and why-the-heck-does-Jar-Jar-Binks-exist. We all know that original trilogy star Mark Hamill came back for the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie, so why is he missing from the trailers? We get Chewbacca, Han Solo and Princess Leia, but no Luke.

Production studio Cinesaurus wasn't going to stand for Luke's absence, so it fixed the latest trailer and posted the result on the GrittyReboots YouTube channel on October 27.

"Luke Skywalker is in EVERY shot of the new Star Wars trailer. Not sure what all the fuss is about," the description reads.

Watching the edited trailer is like playing "Where's Waldo" in the Star Wars universe. Skywalker pops up in every clip. He steps into the foreground. He walks away in the distance. He lays on the sand. He hides among the Stormtroopers. It's Luke-Fest 2015.

The appearances grow increasingly more absurd as Luke's face stares out from the smoldering remains of Darth Vader's helmet and he aims a blaster at Han Solo from behind. It's a joy to behold.

We still haven't solved the mystery of the missing Luke. "Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams said the omission is no accident, but he won't disclose any details. It's possible that Luke made a cameo appearance in the latest trailer, but we can't say for sure. At least Cinesaurus' trailer has us covered until the movie opens on December 18 and all is finally revealed.
