Logitech is waging war on wires with the Wireless Speaker Adaptor. It lets you pump audio to your favourite speakers from certain laptops, without generating a hellish sphere of tangled cables.

The Wireless Speaker Adaptor plugs into your speakers via an RCA or 3.5mm jack. It works only in conjunction with laptops that offer Intel's Wireless Display (Wi-Di) technology, which is primarily intended to let you stream PC-based media to your TV wirelessly.

Logitech will also launch a Bluetooth version of the Wireless Speaker Adaptor for those who don't have a Wi-Di laptop. Using the Bluetooth version, you should be able to stream music from your tablet and phone, as well as your laptop.

Prices haven't been announced yet, but both adaptors are expected to be available in May. We'll know what the adaptor looks like once our brave chaps on the CES show floor have taken some snaps.
