LinkSys firmware update problems TimHiggins.com reports that the current 1.22 version of the LinkSys firmware can lead to "hangs, garbled web pages, corrupted download files, and other strange behavior." The page adds: "Beta firmware is available that will help minimize this problem! However, it does not completely eliminate the problem for all users. Contact Linksys Tech Support and ask for the V1.23.2 firmware." (Thanks, John Strung.) [See also the item on MacTFTP Client in today's Utilities Updates.] Palm HotSync and USB hubs problem: a follow-up Regarding problems with HotSyncing a Palm connected to a USB hub (see previous item), two readers (Daniel Yu and Steven Hayes) agree that unplugging and replugging the USB connector to the hub (perhaps also switching ports) will get the HotSync to work again. MacWEEK follow-up on ColorSync MacWEEK's Bruce Fraser takes a look at ColorSync 3.0.1 (see also previous coverage one and two). ListenDo! and FWB Tools conflict resolved After installing ListenDo! 1.1, John Melby "repeatedly experienced a crash on boot-up that occurred whenever the FWB Tools control panel tried to load." The solution was to reverse the load order of the FWB Tools and the MacSpeech Extension (installed by ListenDo!). mac.com email problems? Several readers reported problems accessing their mac.com email over the week-end.
