The device has been the subject of countless rumors over the last few weeks, which might prompt LG to show it off sooner than expected.

LG is slated to host a press event on February 13 where it's expected to show off the follow-up to its Optimus G Pro.

The company sent out invites to Korea-based reporters on Friday. CNET sister site ZDNet Korea received an invite. The image shows only a door creeping open, footsteps, and the phrase, "Knock-knock knockin' on." The event will be held at LG Twin Towers in Seoul.

Several rumors have cropped up recently about the G Pro 2. LG has said that the device will come with optical image stabilization, but has been loath to provide further details. Earlier this week, a report suggested that the handset would come with a 0.4mm bezel, allowing its display to cover more than 77 percent of the device's face. The device might also come with high-end speakers.

It's not guaranteed that the February 13 event will showcase the G Pro 2 -- the device has been expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress later this month -- but it seems increasingly likely.
