LG KC910: Viewty, eat your heart out

Like the Viewty but feel like you need something with a little more oomph? Have a gander at LG's latest super-phone, the 8-megapixel KC910

Andrew Lim

Only last week we were raving about the Samsung i8510, with its 8-megapixel camera, when lo and behold LG pops out an 8-megapixel camera phone too -- it's as if Korea's electronics behemoths can read each others' minds. Phone Arena got the scoop on this LG beauty -- it's similar to the LG Viewty and packs many of the same features as the i8510.

The KC910 boasts an 8-megapixel camera with xenon flash, which the i8510 doesn't have. There's also Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS and a microSD slot that can take up to 8GB -- no word on internal memory though. The main difference between the Samsung and LG phones is that the KC910 has a touchscreen.

A fully touchscreen interface puts this super-phone right alongside the iPhone, so we're keen to see how it matches up when we get one in. From the specs alone we're excited, but much will be decided on how responsive the screen is, so watch this space. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced. -Andrew Lim
