LG is rolling out a new slate in Korea that will be hitting US store shelves soon.

Dubbed the LG G Pad 8.3, the tablet comes with an 8.3-inch HD display featuring 272 pixels per inch. The slate has a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 16GB of onboard storage. The G Pad 8.3 comes with an included microSD card slot to add up to 64GB of additional storage.

LG showed off the G Pad 8.3 at the IFA conference in Germany last month . LG's slate was rumored for months prior to its unveiling. The company hasn't necessarily made a major mark on the tablet space and hasn't launched a new slate since last year, making it due for an update.

Now that the G Pad 8.3 is available in Korea, LG plans to roll it out elsewhere. The tablet will be available in North America in the coming weeks, followed by Europe. The tablet will be available in black and white when it launches. The company has yet to reveal exact pricing and availability in the US.
