The Australian video-on-demand service will be available on LG's 2012 and 2013 range of Smart TVs.

The Quickflix service is already available on Samsung, Panasonic and Sony smart TVs, as well as recently adding the PS4 to its range of play devices.

In a media statement, Quickflix CEO Stephen Langsford said: "LG has a significant market share in this country so it's a big step for Quickflix and fantastic news for entertainment fans."

Quickflix subscriptions combine video streaming with physical DVD and Blu-ray rental via post. Pricing starts at AU$14.99 per month.
