LexMark matters: MarkVision 2.1 or not?; USB version delayed

John Watson received the following clarification from LexMark (in Australia) regarding the supposedly released MarkVision 2.1 (see previous item):

It appears that the wording that is on the web site, is slightly misleading. The Installer Package is 2.1 but the MarkVision application is still version 1.8.7.

As for an expected ETA for a version of MarkVision that will communicate via USB. Lexmark development was due to release the software sometime in November, but unfortunately due to the late release of the Apple system drivers, we have not been able to meet this target date. I have not been advised of the new target date, but I imagine that it will be early next year.
