Lenovo definitely believes in the old adage that money talks, announcing at the Lenovo Tech World Event that it's pledging a $1 million cash prize to the winner of the company's Moto Mods developer design contest. Unlike Google's Project Ara phones, the planned Moto Mod hardware modules will be hot-swappable. That means you'll be able to snap modules in and out of your phone on the fly without having to shut down the device.

Moto Mods will be compatible with only two handsets, the new Lenovo Moto Z and the Moto Z Force.
