Lasoo, an Australian company specialising in aggregation of store catalogues and daily deal sites, added its new Lasoo.it deal-sharing service to the iPhone platform this week. The new feature allows users to share great deals in real-time, as well as scan products to see if better price options have been listed by other users.

While the wider Lasoo service of catalogues and daily deals is driven by Lasoo's centralised team, Lasoo.it will very much depend on user participation. Something of an app within an app, the new service has been in beta for more than a year, with over 100 registered testers helping to prepare the service for launch. From cans of Coke to cereal boxes, to deals at the local bottle shop, there's already a good fistful of deal suggestions to get the ball rolling.

To share a deal, you can enter a product name, description, price, photo and location. It's a bit like being the first to add the details of a venue when FourSquare first launched. After a product exists, it becomes easy to add new price data, whether in other locations or as an update for the same store.

Even if you never want to add your two-cents savings worth to the social data, you will find more valuable information than ever in Lasoo, thanks to the new Lasoo.it platform. You can "like" or comment on deals already shared, which improves their position in the "Popular" view of shared deals.

You'll also be able to follow other users if you find they seem to focus on the kinds of products you also like to keep an eye on. All in all, there's a good range of very social features tucked away here, and if the platform gains traction, it will become a powerful tool for pinning down great real-world deals.

Lasoo.it — the deal sharing part of Lasoo — currently does not integrate with deal information found in Lasoo's catalogues section or daily-deals site listings, so you'll still want to check your options across both areas. We expect that these integrations will come at some point in the future — and that would make this app one almighty deal-finding machine.

Lasoo's 2.0 update is currently only for the iPhone, with Android and iPad updates expected in the coming months.
