In one of the biggest TV disappointments of the year, the trailer for NBC's She-Ra sitcom starring Kylie Minogue is only a joke.

In one of the biggest TV disappointments of the year, the trailer for NBC's She-Ra sitcom starring Kylie Minogue is only a joke.

As people who grew up on He-Man and She-Ra, the idea of a satirical comedy live-action sitcom is an absolutely delightful one. We would watch the heck out of that.

Especially one as cuttingly conceived as NBC's She-Ra by Funny or Die. Starring pop-princess-turned-princess-of-power Kylie Minogue, it follows the modern-day adventures of She-Ra, far from Etheria in New York. There, she faces off against Skeletor, for some reason (probably because he's more recognisable than Hordak), and falls in love.

The video is more making fun of television marketing than 1980s cartoons, but the mash-up of the two is just too perfect.

Oh well. At least we still have Xena.
