Kodak software update fixes 64MB card problem

Kodak software update fixes 64MB card problem

CNET staff
Kodak has recently released an update of their Camera Connection 2.6 software for its DC4800 (and similar model) digital cameras. The new version contains the addition of a file rename function. This assists users when transferring files to the camera (mc3, DX3500, DX3600) by allowing users to rename files to the DOS 8.3 standard required of files on the camera.

Gina Fitch found that the update also fixes the problem when unmounting a camera with a 64MB Compact Flash card (see previous coverage). M. K. Raghuraman confirms this fix.

The Picture Transfer 1.5.1 software may also be a new version. In any case, it claims to be the same version as found on Kodak's Software CD version 1.2.
