KFC deletes crotch-grabbing tweet, apologizes

At certain times of day, some companies' Twitter feeds are manned by curious types.
Occasionally, companies tweet things that make one wonder whether any thinking went before the tweeting.
One such occasion might be KFC Australia's tweet on Thursday, in which a man's crotch is blurred out and a woman's hand is reaching for it.
To add to the exalted sexual tension, the caption read: "Something hot and spicy is coming soon."
A hot and spicy reprimand for the person who tweeted it, perhaps?
The tweet was deleted within an hour, according to Business Insider. Not before, however, it was captured in all its glory by several people who gleefully exposed it for all it was worth. The company later apologized for causing offense.
KFC Australia didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. However, this seems like someone's idea of amusement that went a touch awry.
It's one thing to allow someone to tweet from your account and watch them accidentally tweet something NSFW that should have been emitted from their private account -- such as happened to Chrysler.
This, though, seems like an active attempt at humor that may not have been as amusing as it initially seemed.
This tweet is still ahead of the Australian wine commercial that, well, offered humor of an entirely rustic sort.
I'm not sure anything could compete with that.
