Keeping up to date at the buffet

The Nostalgia Lazy Susan Electric Buffet sparks conversation and encourages the communal experience.

Quest for food. Bed Bath and Beyond

Meals are not meant to be rushed. Perhaps in our caveman days it was a requirement of survival to scarf down whatever scraps of meat we could get our hands on, but times have changed. While that certainly could be considered an understatement, all too often we rush through our meals, ignoring the intrinsic benefit built into mealtime. Sitting down for a meal--assuming we are in a civilized frame of mind--is a perfect opportunity to slow down, speak with our friends, families, and neighbors and simply enjoy each other's company while we share our common need.

Of course, any communal gathering based around food requires us to share. Like we gathered around the campfire in our collective past, we now gather around the dinner table, or in this case, the buffet.

The Nostalgia Lazy Susan Electric Buffet is more than a warming dish. Look past the stainless steel base that holds four chafing dishes. Don't focus on the 800-watt heating element. Above all, don't pay attention to the fact that it can be used with or without a cord, keeping food warm up to an hour after being unplugged. Instead, gaze upon this central rotating buffet as our ancestors looked upon their campfires ages ago. And then, of course, feel free to tell the story of the day's hunt. Or your day at the office--whichever one applies.
