Jay-Z's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail drops today for a million lucky Samsung fans.

With its patriotic debut coming on July 4, there are 1 million owners of a Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 or Note 2 who will get to sup from Magna Carta Holy Grail today, three days before it's released to the rest of the world.

To get Holy Grail early, all you have to do is download the album's Android app from Google Play.

Only the first million people to download the app will get the album today, but you could still be in with a chance. Although there was a huge spike when it was first advertised during the NBA finals, at the time of writing Google Play says the app still hasn't reached 1 million downloads.

The Jay Z Magna Carta app also includes behind-the-scenes footage of the Brooklyn-born rapper and producer in preparation for the new record, his 12th solo studio outing.

The album's app promotion is the first foray in what is rumoured to be a partnership between Jay-Z and Samsung that could earn the rapper $20m. Clearly he didn't choose poorly.
