iTunes 7.0 Special Report: Equalizer not appearing, fix
Several users have reported an issue where the equalizer does not appear in iTunes 7.0.
MeacFixIt reader Chess Edwards writes:
"Lot's of folks are having issues with the equalizer not showing in iTunes 7.0. Some people get a blank white rectangle, while others don't get any equalizer showing up at all. Consequently, there is no way to set the equalizer to anything but what was probably your last setting before upgrading. This can greatly affect audio quality."
This issue can generally be resolved by going to the "Displays" pane of System Preferences and switching the "Colors:" setting to "Millions." After changing the setting, quit then re-launch iTunes and attempt to open the Equalizer.
