iTunes 7.0.2 Special Report: Screen re-draw problems

Some users are reporting an issue where the primary iTunes window does not refresh properly when switching view modes. In other words, when switching from list view to album cover view, the display may become garbled or show half-drawn interface elements.

The problem can generally be resolved by minimizing the iTunes window then maximizing it, or quitting then re-launching iTunes; neither represent an ideal solution.

One reader writes:

"Coverflow with iTunes 7.0.2 does this to the missing image icon where it appears to have an ugly "screened" look instead of the nice gradations of the normal icon. I reverted back to 7.0.1 (by simply running the old version I kept a copy of) and the problem immediately went away. This is with an ATI 8500 card on a G4 running Panther 10.3.9. I haven't tested yet to see if it also does this in Tiger. Next time I boot into Tiger on the machine, I'll test it. I should also note that I'm running Quicktime 6.5.2, not 7.x."
