Persistent re-launches Some users have reported an issue where iTunes 7.0.2 persistently re-launches, refusing to stay quit.

MacFixIt reader Mike writes:

"iTunes 7.0.2 relentlessly relaunches after I quit it.  in 2 seconds. The only way to quit it is to log out then back in - but once iTunes is launched, it prefers to stay that way.

Check for other applications/add-ons that access iTunes Some instances of this issue can be resolved by quitting applications or system processes that have the capability to launch iTunes, or otherwise rely on the application.

This includes Widgets, iTunes-based alarms and more.

If you cannot find a running application or add-on that is using iTunes in some way, check for hidden processes using Activity Monitor (per instructions in this article) that may be forcing iTunes to stay launched.

Podcasts on some iPods not displaying unless they are in playlist MacFixIt reader Gary Coyne reports an issue where podcasts do not properly display in iTunes when stored on some iPods.

Gary writes:

"I'm mostly going along just fine with the new version but the issue of iTunes not displaying podcasts that were dragged into the general Music listings on a G3 iPod still persists. You can see these podcasts ON the iPod, you can see these podcasts ON iTunes 6.x.x, but you cannot see them on iTunes 7.0.x unless they are in a Playlist."

If you are experiencing a similar issue, please let us know.
