iTunes 6.0.3 (#3): Problems installing through Software Update -- fix

CNET staff

Problems installing through Software Update -- fix We previously noted issues obtaining iTunes 6.0.3 through Software Update. Some users received the error message 'Unable To Expand' after downloading the update.

In some cases, this issue can be resolved by navigating to the folder /Library/Packages (the Library folder at the root level of your startup drive) and removing the "iTunesX" package then re-running Software Update.

MacFixIt reader Al Varnell writes: "Seems the download process was unable to replace a file in that folder with the same name."
