iTunes 2 installer updates Authoring Support file, others

A peek at the installation log for iTunes 2 under Mac OS 9 reveals some noteworthy changes to the files in the System Extensions folder:

• Authoring Support v1.1.4 (this file is also used by Disc Burner)
• iPod FireWire Enabler v1.2.4
• iTunes Extension v2.0
• QuickTime Extensions:iTunes QuickTime Extension v2.0

A reader points out that the installer only modifies the extensions in the active System Folder. Any additional Mac OS 9 system folders are not automatically updated. (This is not unique to iTunes 2, many installers behave this way. We note it only to guide users who may have gotten tripped up by this behavior.)
