Initial word was that Rhapsody Developer Release, due out this summer, would only run on Power Mac 8500 and 8600 machines. However, the official word from David Krathwohl, Apple Vice-President, is that Apple has reconsidered. The result is that the release will now also run on 9500 and 9600 machines. The rest of us (including me with my 7500!) will have to wait for the next release. Check Apple's Developer World site to read the full text (or check Steve Tannehill's Power Macintosh Resource Page for a mirrored copy of the letter - with a bit of added commentary).
